Ono Hawaiian BBQ will open at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6 in a new shopping center taking shape in Yucaipa.
The chain specializes in chicken, beef, pork and shrimp and Hawaiian sides such as Spam Musubi, a slice of spam on a block of rice wrapped in seaweed.
Festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Hawaiian dancers, a buy one, get one free promotion and other giveaways, according to a news release.
The restaurant is at 31555 Yucaipa Blvd No. 1 in Yucaipa Point, a development that has bumped up the food service at this 10 Freeway offramp. Recently opened restaurants include Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Five Guys and Cookie Co.
